Well I have my first 3000 word down on paper. The first couple of time I sat down it was only a couple hundred and I spent more time changing my mind about my story than I did writing anything. But I got the main part of the story worked out, I watched a ton of podcast on outlining and creating a plot. I'm pretty happy with my current idea. The words came out pretty easy yesterday and today. I went from just over a 1000 to just over 3000 is about 24 hours. I love to read stories and listen to audio books. I never really thought about wanting to write until I stumbled onto Michael Anderle and his success as an Indie author. This is really the first time it really felt like an escape to just sit down and start typing. I will see you all later

I'm up a little early today, looking over the website for the Self Publishing Formula. IF you have not checked out Mark Dawson you should head over and check it out. I'm still reading the book Save the Cat by Blake Snyder, its actually written for screen plays but all everyone says it translates to fiction writing very well. I also got a decent jump on my story the last couple days, still only a little over 1ooo word written but I have the "what is it figured out"... I think. Well its off to another day at the Day job T-355 days until my self imposed deadline
I'm going to be a writer

I Read/Listen to Audio Books daily for years. I love a good story. Came Across the Kurtherian Gambit Series by Michael Anderle. At the end of his books he always put author notes, he often talked about being an indie author. I watched a few interviews and the more I learned about being an indie author the more intrigued I became. I decided to give it a go. I will have a book published within 1 year (by my 45th Birthday) I may never get rich but this has become an obsession that I have to try. I figured that this would be fun to Blog my progress as I go
